NATHAN: I was just doing scrub work at first. Contacting places to try to land reviews, interviews and features for various lame bands. That’s the main reason Bunting hired me. I knew all those people. I used to write for them. I shared joints with them. I saw them all the time. Even though they didn’t publish me anymore, they all liked me. I was an asset in that regard.
MICAH: Sounds rather innocent.
NATHAN: It wasn’t. We were given full ability to bribe these places. If it was a well-read blog, something like Dagger or Audio Abuse, we would just straight up pay them to place a review or feature. We would sometimes pay for the rating too.
